EDMONTON – MLA Derek Fildebrandt, who has been in hot water for renting out his taxpayer-funded apartment on Airbnb, has alleged that other MLAs also rented out their apartments and that he was the only one to pay taxes on that supplementary income.

From an AM770[1] interview with Rob Breakenridge on November 3rd:

Derek Fildebrandt:

I rented my place out when I was in Edmonton, like quite a few other MLAs did, I just did so openly and was the only one to pay taxes on it.

UCP Leader Jason Kenney must address whether any members of his caucus made profits off of taxpayer-funded accommodations and whether revenue from this was declared for tax purposes and to the Ethics Commissioner.
