UCP MLA ADMITS HARDSHIP CAUSED BY KENNEY GOVERNMENT IS MASSIVE

EDMONTON – A UCP MLA is apologizing for the hardship inflicted on all Albertans by Jason Kenney’s government, according to an email circulating online.

On Tuesday, an image of a Christmas message sent to constituents from Banff-Kananaskis MLA Miranda Rosin began circulating online where Rosin acknowledges “your entire year was likely filled with hardship inflicted by our government, whether that be in the form of financial insecurity, business strain, or loneliness and depression.” Rosin apologized in what she called a “word from the heart.”

“There is more scientific accuracy to this e-newsletter than there was in the one she sent in the height of the second wave denying the realities of COVID-19. But it adds insult to injury to Albertans who sacrificed so much while other UCP MLAs were sitting on the beach,” said Sarah Hoffman, NDP Deputy Leader.

“This bizarre apology comes too late for Albertans who have suffered so much this year, but it should be coming from directly from Jason Kenney, not Miranda Rosin.”
