David is all about connecting with people and fostered that passion throughout his career in communications. Before entering politics, he worked as a communications advisor and writer for organizations such as the North Edge Business Association, Canada Revenue Agency, City of Edmonton and Government of Alberta.
In his time as MLA for Edmonton-City Centre, David has proven himself to be a dynamic and ever-present advocate for the communities he represents, fighting passionately for support for the technology and innovation sector; funding for affordable housing, mental health and harm reduction services; and now in his role as Health Critic for Primary and Rural Care.
David is a champion of the arts scene as well as an avid cyclist and life-long resident of Edmonton. He holds diplomas in music performance and live sound recording from MacEwan University, and a Bachelor of Arts in professional communications from Royal Roads University.
