Kathleen Ganley understands the importance of strong policies designed to protect Albertans. She brings that understanding to her role MLA for Calgary-Mountain View.

During her time as the Minister of Justice and Solicitor General from 2015-2019, Kathleen applied and built upon the experience she gained from her promising legal career. Before being elected to the Legislative Assembly, she worked as an associate in a private law firm specializing in labour, employment, and human rights law. She also spent a summer as a caseworker with student legal assistance and as a research assistant with RESOLVE Alberta, a research network focused on ending violence against women.

Kathleen is a dedicated volunteer and active community member, donating years of her time to participating in many community activities. These include providing student legal assistance, delivering patient care at the Foothills hospital, coaching swimming, counselling children's day camp and assisting with community theatre.

Kathleen holds a juris doctor degree from the University of Calgary, along with a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and a Bachelor of Science in psychology.
